Sick Of Replacing Hail Damaged Spa Covers?

Hail damage ever happen to you?  We receive a lot of emails and calls regarding inquiries from spa owners that are in the market to replace their old foam cover due to hail damage.  Traditional rigid foam covers get spoiled by hail because they do not absorb impact or weight well.  The foam inside the cover is rigid, and hard enough to form a bridge over the spa, but not hard enough to allow for impacts.
Branches, falling debris, heavy rain or large hail will create stress on the cover by pounding down and over time (not very long) your cover will be cracked, broken, torn, split in half, or even could be submerged into your spa water like a ship taking out in Battleship.  If you have ever experienced a sad foam cover like this you know replacing it can become an extremely expensive habit.  Have you ever asked yourself—is there something out there that won’t do that?
Here are some options to check out.  A) You could opt for an Aluminum cover—this would be stronger than a foam filled cover—although not practical, less even than a hard cover, where would you put it, it would need a lot of room.
B) You could purchase a roll cover.  Which are very strong and essentially work like an extension of your deck, which you can just roll over your spa.  The negative to this is they tend to collect small debris, which will get into your spa.  And while they solve the strength issue, they serve little purpose of insulation.
C) You could go the route of a reinforced rigid foam cover.  One of the newest developments in this specialty hard covers is gluing a board to the foam to enforce strength.  So now you feel safe your cover is strong.  Only two major problems arise with these new changes, it is still going to become airborne with a wind storm.  And once again, anything landing on top of your cover (like rain) will still overtime become saturated in the cover and it will again become useless.
The solutions to these problems would be something that is able to give or absorb impacts. Like, in Hollywood when a stunt man falls from a great height, he wants to land on something that will absorb his impact like an air bag. The air bag principle would work as a spa cover to guard against impact damage. Just like the stunt man landing on a cushion of air the same would be true of debris, branches and even severe hail. This is one of the advantages of the SpaCap Spa Covers.
The stunt air bag is designed to open and release air when it catches the stunt person—so please do not use your air filled hot tub cover this way. On the other hand, if your house is on fire and you have to jump out of the window aiming for the large air bag would probably save your life. I should note here that jumping on any spa cover would not be covered by the warranty.

It’s no matter how severe the storm or the hail stone is; an air filled spa cover will give or catch it without damage. We have tested them by driving golf balls into them at close range, dropping bowling balls on them and just having them in use around the country in areas that get severe hail storms. Before you replace another rigid foam spa cover because it broke, consider the only Replacement Spa Covers that will not end up the same way, the SpaCap.
